Texture for Watercolor and Watermedia Painters 4-Day Workshop

February 27 & 28, 2027 | 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM | $375

March 6 & 7, 2027 | 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM | $375

Join watercolor instructor Sue Archer, NWS, AWS, TWSA, for a technique- and process-oriented workshop exploring creative ways to achieve texture in watercolor and watermedia.

Through demonstrations, lectures, projects, and ongoing critiques, participants will explore pigment qualities, masking, lifting, stamping, underpainting, imprinting, painted patterns, alternative surfaces, and more. Finished paintings are not the objective—the focus is on learning techniques and processes that you can incorporate into your own work.

The lessons are progressive. Part 1 is required in order to participate in Part 2. Students may register for Part 1 only or for the complete 4-day workshop.

One year of watercolor experience is recommended. Please speak with Sue or Peggy if you are unsure whether the workshop is appropriate for your skill level.

Please bring a lunch each day.
